I was raised on a farm as the second oldest of six children.  My childhood was filled with babysitting and mothering all the animals. I couldn’t wait to be a mom some day. 

I eventually grew up, got married and had children. I volunteered teaching Sunday School and VBS, was the youth group leader of our small country church for a time, was a cabin counselor at an overnight Christian camp, and worked with teen moms at Youth For Christ Teen Moms group. I homeschooled our children for a few years.  And I worked in our local school district for 15 years, until moving to Florida.  My children are all grown, married, and have started families of their own, blessing me with eight grandchildren and more to come!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Avenue 941, to provide academic support and life encouragement to children in our community!
