Our programs are some of our favorite things we do at Avenue941.
They help to achieve our mission of aiding students in being known and achieving goals outside of the classroom.

High School Internship Program:

High Schoolers in 11th or 12th grade can get paid to help mentor younger students and aide them in their academics. The high school intern acts as a support role for the site team leader at each of our locations.

During Spring Semester, our Interns are partnered with someone in their career field of choice to shadow them for an entire day. We value creating an environment where the interns can grow in leadership and character while they lead lessons and help younger students.

Requirements:

  • Student must be a junior or senior in a Manatee County school on track to graduate
  • Student must have two references from teachers explaining why they would be a good candidate for an internship
  • Student must have met their volunteer hour requirement for graduation
  • Student must have served with Avenue941 during one past semester
  • Student must be able to commit to at least two days a week for 2.5 hours/day

Prayer Journal:​

Our Prayer Journal is an interactive guided prayer journal to pray for a student for 21 days. Our heart is to see each student in the 941 area sponsored in the place of prayer.

The times we have seen students come to know Jesus have been right after someone starts praying for them consistently by name. We want to see every student come to know Jesus.

​With a $25 donation, you will receive a prayer journal to change a student’s life through the power of prayer. You can even have the opportunity to give the student the journal to show them that someone has been praying for them and the words you’ve spoken over their life.
