Madison Royer-Blackrick serves as the Program Director for Avenue941, bringing over a decade of diverse educational experience and a deep-rooted commitment to the youth of Manatee County, Florida. Madison’s unique career began in scientific research, where she contributed to vital studies on the Zika Virus and Red Tide. However, a persistent call toward education, discovered early on while writing policy and serving on the board of an education nonprofit during college, ultimately reshaped her professional path.
Madison transitioned into the classroom, teaching various elementary grades and high school students across Manatee County. She later merged her scientific background with her love for youth development as the Education Manager for Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, where she successfully oversaw camp and youth programs. She has been a dedicated teacher/volunteer of the Avenue941 team since the Fall of 2021. Madison holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Marietta College and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Madison is honored to step into this leadership role, firmly believing that her background in policy, research, and classroom education will further Avenue941’s vital mission of promoting human flourishing by raising up local children and youth.
