My name is Diana Wigeri van Edema. I was born in Colombia, South America, and
moved to North Carolina 30 years ago. In 2005, I married my husband and made
Florida our home. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Agrology and have a professional
background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Although I spent
many years working as a design engineer and GIS analyst, God opened the door for
me to serve as the Spanish Language Specialist for the World Television Program at
the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in 2003. During this year, He planted in my
heart a deep love for translation and using language to serve others.

After I moved to Florida in 2005, I continued working as GIS Analyst and Graphic
Designer but in 2011, the Lord called me to homeschool our two daughters
while working from home as a medical translator. It was a beautiful season filled
with learning, growth, and countless blessings. Watching my daughters graduate
from high school in 2025 was a joyful milestone, but it also marked the end of a
precious chapter. As I prayed about what God had next for me, He placed a
renewed desire in my heart to continue teaching, encouraging, and mentoring children.

When I was introduced to Avenue 941, I felt that the Lord was leading me there. I fell
in love with its mission and the heart behind the program. It is a true blessing to be part
of this program. I am honored to walk alongside the amazing Avenue 941 team as we
share God’s love with the children and encourage them to grow in knowledge,
confidence, and faith in Jesus Christ.
